What is shop window digital signage?

Shop window digital signage is a screen placed in a shop window to show offers and news to the street. Stood on its end it fills a narrow pane and reads like a poster. This board runs three portrait slides for a sale's last hours: the discount, the tiers and a closing time.

This board runs on

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 9:16, so stand the TV on its end and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

Why stand a shop window screen on its end?
Because most window panes are taller than they are wide, and a portrait screen fills one the way a poster would. It also leaves the rest of the window for product. The board is designed in portrait, so the text sits in one readable column rather than a wide layout squeezed into a tall frame.
How big should the text be for a window screen?
A common sign-trade rule of thumb is about one inch of letter height for every ten feet of viewing distance, and bigger reads faster. Measure from the pavement, not from inside the shop. This board sets the discount figure as the largest thing on the first slide for that reason.
Should a window screen stay on overnight?
Only if the street is busy after closing. A screen showing a sale that has ended is worse than a dark window. Turn the TV off with the shop lights, or on a paid plan schedule a different board for the evening hours.
Does the shop need a media player box?
No. Any TV with a modern web browser plays the board: open play.channelos.tv on the TV and pair it from your phone. Android TV, Google TV, webOS and Fire TV work, and a TV without apps can use a streaming stick. Nothing is installed and there is no player to buy.
