Free digital notice board, edited in your browser

Pick a board, type your lines, and watch it become a real screen as you go. Five presets including a shift handover board, six colours, three fonts, and a 1920x1080 image you can download without an account.

This is the real TV player, not a mock-up. A screen shows exactly this.

This board goes with you. It opens as your first slide, ready to edit, and the PNG stays free either way.

Free screens show a ChannelOS banner along the bottom of the screen. Any paid plan removes it.

What is a digital notice board?

A notice board shown on a screen instead of pinned to cork, so changing a notice is an edit rather than a reprint. You can build one here, in this tab: pick a preset, type your lines, and download a 1920x1080 image with no account, no email and no watermark. A board is a titled block of rows where one column is the notice and the rest say when it applies and who owns it, so the tool gives you exactly that, up to four columns per block and two blocks side by side.

If what you want is a printed A4 notice for a cork board, say so and use Canva or Adobe Express. They have far more artwork and that is genuinely the better tool for that job. This one is built for the other case: a board that lives on a screen, rendered through the same engine a TV runs, where tomorrow's change is one line typed on a phone instead of a reprint and a walk round every board.

And if you are rolling out internal communications across a company, this is the wrong tool and we will not pretend otherwise. There is no single sign-on, no SAML or SCIM, no per-site roles, no approval workflow and no audit log, and the player runs on a public web address rather than behind your directory. It is built for one screen in one room, updated by whoever is standing in that room.

From typed lines to a lit-up screen

  1. 1

    Pick a board

Five of them, each opening with real starter lines and the columns that room actually needs: notices, a shift handover, the crew on shift, the floor, the staff room.

  2. 2

    Type your lines

Edit it like the table it is. Pick a colour and a font, add a column for a second value, mark a line as done without deleting it, and put a QR in the corner pointing at the full document.

  3. 3

    Put it on a screen

Open the board on any screen you already own: a smart TV browser, a cheap stick, an old laptop on the HDMI port. Pair it from your phone.

Five notice boards, by the room they hang in

Every one opens the editor above with real starter lines and the columns that room needs. Pick one in the tool and your own lines stay where you typed them, and the colour and font are a separate choice, so any board can be any colour.

Once the board is built

The maker gets you a board. These cover what comes after it: getting it onto a screen you already own, making it read from across the room, and what any of it costs.

Questions people actually ask

What is a digital notice board?
A digital notice board is a notice board shown on a screen instead of pinned to cork, so changing a notice is an edit rather than a reprint. The practical difference is the day something changes: a paper board needs the old sheet taken down, a new one printed and someone walking to every board, and a screen version is one line typed on a phone.
Where can I make a digital notice board for free?
In this browser tab. Pick a preset, type your lines, and download a 1920x1080 image with no account, no email and no watermark. If what you want is a printed A4 notice for a cork board, Canva and Adobe Express have far more artwork and are the better tool for that job. This one is built for a notice board that lives on a screen, so it renders through the same engine a TV runs and a line can be changed after the board is on the wall.
Who should not use this?
Anyone rolling out internal communications across a company. There is no single sign-on, no SAML or SCIM provisioning, no per-site roles, no approval workflow and no audit log, and the player runs on a public web address rather than behind your directory, so it will not pass an IT review. It is built for the opposite case: one screen in a room, updated by whoever is standing in that room. If you need the first list, a corporate internal-comms platform is the right category and we are not in it.
Is this notice board maker really free?
Yes. Building the board and downloading the 1920x1080 PNG needs no account, no card and no email address. A free ChannelOS account is only needed for the part a design tool cannot do: showing the board on an actual screen and changing it after it is live.
Can I use it as a shift handover board?
Yes, and there is a preset for it. A handover board is a notice board with two blocks: what is true of this shift on one side, and what the next shift is inheriting on the other. Pick Shift handover and the columns and starter lines are already that shape, including a column for who owns each open item.
How many columns and lines can I have?
Up to four columns in each block, and two blocks side by side on one board. The ceiling is four because past that each cell is too narrow to read from across the room, which is the only test that matters for a board on a wall. On height, a header row plus about five lines fills the board at a readable size, and the tool measures the real render and warns you the moment a line is going to run off the bottom.
What do I put on a shift handover board so the next shift actually reads it?
Only what changes. A board that repeats the standing rules gets read once and then ignored, so keep the permanent instructions on paper and give the screen the things that were different today: who is leading, which zone is down, what is still open and the one name that owns it. Put the owner in its own column rather than in brackets after the text, because a reader scanning a wall follows a row across and cannot parse a parenthesis at six metres.
Can I change the colours and the font?
Yes. Six board colours and three fonts, and the preview is the real renderer, so what you pick is what a screen shows. The colours are a fixed set rather than a free colour picker on purpose: every one is checked for contrast, so you cannot accidentally build a board nobody can read from the far side of the room. Monospaced is the useful one for a shift board, because every digit is the same width and a column of times lines up on its own.
What do I need to put the notice board on a screen?
A screen that can open a web page: a smart TV browser, a cheap streaming stick, or an old laptop plugged into the HDMI port. You open the player address on the screen and pair it from your phone. There is no media player to buy and nothing to install. The first screen is free for ever, with a ChannelOS banner along the bottom that any paid plan removes.
Can I show a different board on each shift?
Yes, on a paid plan. A show can be scheduled to a time of day, so a morning board and a night board can run on the same screen without anyone switching them over. On the free plan you get one screen and one board at a time, which you change yourself when the shift changes.
Can I change a line after the board is on the wall?
Yes, from your phone or laptop, and the screen updates itself. This is the part an exported image cannot do: once a PNG is on a screen, changing a line means making a new file and putting it there by hand.

The board is built. Now put it on the wall.

A screen, a phone, two minutes. Pair a TV, send this exact board to it, and change a line at handover from wherever you are standing.

Free screens show a ChannelOS banner along the bottom of the screen, and any paid plan removes it.
