What is boutique digital signage?

Boutique digital signage is a small screen in a boutique, often stood on its end, that shows the current collection, an event or a sale. This portrait board is a weekend sale in three slides: the headline discount, the tiers and a last chance slide, all set as text you restyle to match the shop.

This board runs on

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 9:16, so stand the TV on its end and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

How do I make a sale screen fit a boutique's look?
Change the parts that carry the brand: the colors, the fonts and the words. Every layer on the board is editable, including the background artwork, which you can replace with your own photo. Keep one accent color for the discount figures so they stay the first thing a customer reads.
Where does a portrait screen work in a small shop?
Beside the door, next to the fitting rooms or on the wall behind the till. A TV on its end takes a narrow strip of wall instead of a whole section of display space, and a column of short lines suits a sale: the offer, the tiers, the end date.
Can staff update the sale without a designer?
Yes. The words, percentages and dates are ordinary text in the editor, which runs on a phone. A staff member changes Sunday to Monday, publishes, and the screen follows. Paid plans include more than one seat, so the owner is not the only person who can make a change.
What happens if the shop wifi drops?
A screen that is already playing keeps playing. After a power cut, though, it needs the internet back before it shows the board again, because nothing is stored on the TV. If your connection is unreliable, a phone hotspot is a workable fallback for a day.
