What is a chicken shop menu board?

A chicken shop menu board lists a fried or spicy chicken shop's tenders, wings, sandwiches and meal deals with prices. This portrait board runs four slides for a hot chicken counter: a tender combo, the menu, a heat ladder and opening hours, and every line can be rewritten for any chicken shop menu.

This board runs on

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 9:16, so stand the TV on its end and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

Does a chicken shop in England have to show calories?
If the business has 250 or more employees, yes: England's out of home calorie labelling rules, in force since April 2022, require calories on menus and menu boards. Smaller independent shops are not covered. In the US, the equivalent federal rule applies to chains of 20 or more locations.
What should a chicken shop menu board show?
Meal deals first, then the individual items with prices, then sides and drinks. Say what comes with a meal, such as fries and a drink, and keep heat levels in words people understand. Five to seven lines per slide read well from the queue.
Where should a portrait menu screen go in a small shop?
Beside the counter or on a pillar facing the queue, at eye height. A TV on its end fits a narrow shopfront wall where a wide screen would not, and a menu reads well as one column.
Can the prices be in pounds?
Yes. Prices on the board are text, so type them in your own currency, such as £6.99. The screen shows exactly what you type, and changing a price is one edit from your phone.
