What is optical store digital signage?

Optical store digital signage is a screen by the frame displays or the exam waiting area that explains vision benefits, what to bring and what eyewear customers can buy with their plan. This board runs four slides: plans accepted, what to bring, FSA or HSA dollars for frames and lenses, and your prescription is yours.

This board runs on

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 16:9, so stand the TV the usual way and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

Can FSA or HSA money pay for glasses?
Generally, yes. Prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses and eye exams count as medical expenses under IRS rules, so FSA and HSA funds can usually cover them. Plans differ on deadlines and paperwork, which is why this board says frames and lenses may qualify and to check your plan's deadline.
Does an optometrist have to give patients their prescription?
Under the FTC's Eyeglass Rule, a prescriber must give the patient a copy of their eyeglass prescription after the refraction, whether or not the patient asks. This board's closing slide says your prescription is yours to keep, and that you can shop where you like.
Should the screen name the vision plans we accept?
Only plans you actually accept, and use an insurer's logo only with permission. This board says many vision plans accepted and ask us about yours, which stays true when your list changes.
What does it cost to run this screen?
One screen is free for good, with no card. Free screens show a small "Made with ChannelOS" badge in one corner, and any paid plan removes it. Paid plans are per screen, from $5 a month billed annually or $6 monthly.
