What is a medical shop TV screen content?

Medical shop TV screen content is what a pharmacy loops on an in-store display: current offers on generics and wellness products, free health check timings, home delivery and prescription refill details, and opening hours. It is usually a landscape slideshow of five to eight slides that replaces the printed offer poster and can be edited from a phone.

This board runs on

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 16:9, so stand the TV the usual way and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

What should I put on a medical shop TV screen?
Start with what changes and what earns. Slide one carries this month's offers, the discount on generics or a wellness range, because that is the only slide a waiting customer will act on today. Slide two carries services the shop wants more of: home delivery, free blood pressure or sugar checks, doctor visit timings, and the WhatsApp number to send a prescription to. Slide three carries the shop facts a first-time visitor asks at the counter: opening hours, whether you are open on Sunday, the pharmacist on duty, and which payment methods you take. Keep seasonal health reminders to one slide. Anything a customer has to read twice belongs on a printed leaflet, not on a screen they pass in ninety seconds.
How many slides should a pharmacy screen loop, and for how long?
Size the loop to the queue, not to the content. A chemist shop counter queue is typically two to four minutes at busy hours, so a loop of sixty to ninety seconds plays through twice while one customer waits, which is what makes an offer register. That works out at six to nine slides at ten seconds each. Give an offer slide with a price twelve seconds, since a number takes longer to read than a headline. Never run the same loop for more than a month: a screen that never changes stops being looked at, and the cheapest refresh is swapping the offer slide and the seasonal health reminder. ChannelOS lets you edit and republish that one slide from your phone without touching the rest of the board.
Can a medical shop advertise medicines on its screen?
Be careful, and default to promoting services rather than drugs. India's Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 prohibits advertising a medicine as a cure or treatment for a schedule of listed conditions, which includes diabetes, cancer and heart disease, so no slide should claim a product treats a named disease. Prescription-only medicines under Schedule H and H1 are dispensed against a valid prescription and should not be promoted to walk-in customers at all. What is safe and still commercial: discounts stated as a percentage off the printed price, over-the-counter and wellness categories, your own services, delivery, and health awareness messages that carry no product claim. When in doubt, name the category and the saving, never the disease.
What size TV and text size does a medical shop screen need?
Work back from where the customer stands. The sign trade rule of thumb is twenty-five millimetres of capital letter height for every three metres of viewing distance, so a queue standing three to five metres from the counter TV needs capitals of roughly twenty-five to forty-five millimetres. On a forty-three inch landscape screen that means a headline of about eighty pixels or more on a 1920 by 1080 board, and no more than about eight words on a slide. Mount the panel so the middle of the screen sits near standing eye level, around one and a half metres, and keep it out of direct window glare, which washes out a light background faster than it does a dark one.
