What is a gym TV display ideas?

Gym TV display ideas are the things worth putting on a screen inside a fitness centre: the weekly class timetable, what starts next, trainer names, joining fees and current offers, floor rules, and contact details. A landscape TV at reception or on the gym floor plays them as looping slides, updated from a phone.

This board runs on

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 16:9, so stand the TV the usual way and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

What is the best TV for a gym room?
Pick it by viewing distance and daylight, not by picture quality. Nobody watches a gym board, they glance at it, so the only test that matters is whether the furthest member can read a line. The sign trade works to roughly 25mm of capital letter height for every 3 metres of viewing distance, so measure from the far end of the floor before you choose a size. A panel facing a window or a glass frontage needs a brighter screen than one in a dark corridor. Check three practical things before you buy: a standard VESA mount pattern, a way to run content without a laptop parked underneath it, and the idle or eco timer, which on most consumer TVs powers the panel off after a few hours with no remote input and has to be turned off.
What should a gym put on its TV screens?
One message per slide, and put the thing you most want read on the first slide. A workable loop is six to eight slides at eight to ten seconds each, which is around a minute end to end, so a member waiting at reception sees the whole rotation once and somebody on a treadmill sees it several times. For a gym that usually means: the weekly timetable, the class starting next, the joining offer with its price and its end date, one trainer or one result, the floor rules, and a contact line with a phone number. Keep body lines to about six words. Anything that needs a paragraph belongs on a poster people can stand in front of, not on a screen that moves on in ten seconds.
How big should the text be on a gym TV board?
Work backwards from the far end of the room. The sign trade's rule of thumb is about 25mm of capital letter height for every 3 metres of viewing distance. A 55 inch 16:9 screen is roughly 685mm tall, so a headline set at 15 percent of the screen height gives you about 100mm capitals, readable from around 12 metres. At 8 percent you get about 55mm, which stops being comfortable past 6 metres. That is why a timetable is the hardest slide in a gym: a seven day grid at readable sizes will not fit, so split it, one day or one time band per slide, rather than shrinking the type until only the person standing at the screen can use it.
Can a gym TV board run in Marathi and English?
Yes, and the cleanest way is one language per slide rather than mixing scripts inside a sentence. Keep numerals, times and prices in the same digits on both versions so a member reading either slide sees the same figure. Devanagari needs more vertical room than Latin because matras sit above and below the line, so give those slides roughly 20 percent more line spacing or the tops of the letters clip. Test on the actual TV before you trust it: some smart TV browsers have no Devanagari font installed and render missing glyphs as empty boxes, so use a player that ships the font with the page. This Marathi gym board is free to remix on ChannelOS, so the वेळापत्रक and वर्ग slides can be swapped for your own timings.
