What is donation drive digital signage?

Donation drive digital signage is a fundraising board shown on a TV screen instead of printed on paper. It carries the cause, the amount raised so far, what each donation buys, the next collection date and a QR code people scan to give, and staff edit it from a phone as the total changes.

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 16:9, so stand the TV the usual way and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

How to create a donation sheet?
Build it as one row per donation with the columns you will actually need later: date, donor name, contact, amount, payment mode, receipt number and whether an acknowledgement went out. Two rules shape those columns in India. Cash donations above Rs 2,000 do not qualify for an 80G deduction, so anything larger has to arrive by bank transfer, cheque or UPI if the donor wants the tax benefit. And an 80G-approved institution reports its donors in Form 10BD and issues each one a Form 10BE certificate, which needs the donor's name, address and PAN. Collect the PAN at the moment of giving rather than chasing it in April, when half your donors will not reply.
What is a good tagline for a donation drive?
Pick the one that names a unit, not a feeling. 'Give hope' is a mood, while 'Rs 500 feeds a family for a week' tells someone what their money buys and what number to enter. Write three versions, then apply two tests. Read each aloud: if it takes longer than four seconds, it is a paragraph and not a tagline. Then check it at distance, because the sign trade sizes lettering at roughly 25mm of capital height for every 3 metres of viewing distance, so a board read from 6 metres away needs 50mm capitals and only a short line will fit. Keep the cause name and the ask on separate lines so each one survives the trim.
What is the purpose of a donation drive?
A donation drive exists to turn a vague willingness to help into one decision made on one day. That means three things have to be fixed before it starts: a single outcome, a number and a closing date. 'Help our shelter' is not a drive. 'Rs 2 lakh for winter blankets by 31 January' is. The number gives donors somewhere to place themselves, the date gives them a reason not to postpone, and the outcome tells them what stops happening if the target is missed. Everything else on the board serves those three: the running total, what each amount buys, and one way to give that takes under a minute.
How to make a page for donation?
Two layers: the page the money lands on, and the way people reach it. For the page, use a payment link from your gateway or a UPI VPA, and put four things on it: the cause in one line, three preset amounts with what each buys, a free-entry field, and the fields your receipt needs (name, address, PAN if you issue 80G certificates). For reach, a QR on the screen beats a typed URL. A UPI QR is just a string like upi://pay?pa=yourvpa&pn=YourNGO&am=500, so you can pre-fill an amount or leave it out and let the donor decide. Size it by the 10:1 rule: a QR scanned from 2 metres needs to be about 20cm wide. This ChannelOS board holds that QR and the running total together.
