A taco Tuesday sign is a screen that runs one night a week carrying a single price for the taco list. On a TV it loops the name, the tacos at the flat price, the offer with its hours, and the sign disappears on Wednesday without anybody removing anything. Because the sign has to come down every week, and printed ones do not. That is the whole mechanism: a scheduled show airs on Tuesday and the ordinary menu comes back on Wednesday, so what customers see is always true. The printed version is the taped up sign that stays on the window until it fades, which teaches people to ignore signs. ### Should the deal price be per taco or for the board? Say which, in the same size type as the number. The single most common failure of a flat price promotion is ambiguity about what the flat price buys, and every one of those ends up settled at the counter by a person instead of by the sign. Two dollars a taco and two dollars for the board are different offers, so the board should be unmistakable about which one is running. ### Can I schedule it so it only shows on Tuesdays? Yes. Build the Tuesday deck as its own show and give the channel a weekly slot for it, and the screen switches itself. This is worth doing rather than adding and removing a slide by hand, because the hand version fails on the busy week, which is the week it matters. ### What if I want the deal on Instagram too? Use the same board. The slide is authored at the screen's shape, so a portrait board is already the shape a story wants, and screenshotting it keeps the shop's sign and its post identical. Two versions of one offer drifting apart is a real problem in small shops, and reusing the artwork is the cheapest fix for it. ## How to use it 1.
