### What should a plots for sale board in a site office actually display?

Lead with what a walk-in buyer asks first: which plots are still free. Give every plot its site or survey number, the dimensions in feet (30x40, 40x60) and the sq ft area, then the rate, then what the layout actually has: approach road width, water, electricity, park, compound wall. Mark a booked plot as sold instead of deleting the row, because buyers read the crossed-out ones as proof the layout is moving. Close with a phone number and a QR that opens WhatsApp or a location pin. Review it every Monday, since a stale rate is the fastest way to lose trust at the counter. ### How large does the text need to be on a site office display?

Use the sign trade rule of thumb: about 25mm (one inch) of capital letter height for every 3 metres (10 feet) of viewing distance. Measure from where the buyer actually stands, usually the cabin doorway or the far side of the table, which in a site office is 3 to 5 metres, so plot numbers and rates want roughly 25mm to 45mm of letter height. On a 43-inch landscape screen that is large: only six to eight lines stay comfortably legible at once. If your list is longer, split it across two or three slides rotating every 8 to 12 seconds rather than shrinking the type. Kannada needs a little more height than Latin, because vowel signs and ottakshara sit above and below the baseline.

### Which font shows Kannada correctly on a TV screen?

Pick a family with real Kannada coverage rather than a Latin font that silently falls back: Noto Sans Kannada and Noto Serif Kannada are free, openly licensed and cover the script. Then check three things on the actual screen before you leave the office. That conjuncts (ottakshara) stack instead of splitting into two loose letters. That vowel signs sit tight to their consonant. And that your layout name renders at the size you set rather than dropping to a fallback face. Decide once whether rates use Kannada digits or Western ones, then keep every slide the same. Prefer bold weights over light ones, because thin strokes are the first thing to disappear at five metres on a bright screen.

### Does a plot advertisement have to carry a RERA registration number?

If the layout is a project registered with the state authority, yes. The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 requires a promoter to quote the registration number in every advertisement and prospectus for that project, and a screen facing buyers in a site office is an advertisement. Registration itself is not required where the land proposed to be developed does not exceed 500 square metres or the project has eight units or fewer, and states may set tighter limits, so confirm your own position with the Karnataka authority instead of assuming. In practice, put the registration number and the authority website in a fixed footer that appears on every slide, so it cannot be lost when somebody edits the plot list.
