## Frequently asked questions

### Does a screen replace the licenses a salon has to display?

No. Cosmetology licensing is set by each state's board, and many states require the license itself to be posted at the stylist's station or in the salon. A slide can introduce your stylists, but it does not stand in for the posted license.

### Can the offer switch on at 6 PM by itself?

On a paid plan, yes: a channel can schedule a board by hour and weekday, so the evening offer airs from 6 PM and your regular board comes back after. Without a paid plan you switch boards from your phone. Scheduling starts on Solo, from $5 per screen per month billed annually.

### How do I hang a portrait TV at reception?

Mount the TV on its end, then choose the matching quarter turn in the screen's settings in ChannelOS so the board is upright. This board is designed in portrait, so nothing is squeezed. Check the manual first: some TVs are not rated for portrait mounting, and the cables need room at the new bottom edge.

### Will the screen keep playing if the wifi drops?

Yes, a screen that is already playing keeps going. After a power cut it needs the connection back before the board returns, because the TV stores nothing itself. If the salon wifi is patchy, put the TV near the router, or use a cable if the TV has a network port.
