## What is a beauty parlour rate list display board?

A beauty parlour rate list display board is the priced service menu a salon shows customers at the counter, listing treatments like haircut, facial, threading, waxing and bridal makeup against their rates. It can be a printed acrylic or flex board, or the same list run on a TV screen so prices are edited in seconds.

Run by a neighbourhood ladies beauty parlour, showing service rates in rupees and the salon phone number.

## Frequently asked questions

### How to make a salon price list?

Start from what you actually sell, not from a stock list. Write down every service you perform in a normal week, group them under four or five headings (hair, skin, threading and waxing, bridal, packages), and put one rate against each. Drop anything you do less than once a month, because a long list reads as expensive and slows the customer down. Order each group cheapest first so the entry price is seen before the top one. Where a price moves with hair length or product, print a from rate and say so on the same line. For a board read standing at the counter, the sign trade rule of thumb is roughly 25mm of capital letter height for every 3 metres of viewing distance.

### How much does parlour cost?

There is no honest single figure: rates move with the city, the locality, the brand of product and whether the stylist is senior. Price yours by procedure rather than by guess. Walk to three parlours within five minutes of your door, note their published rates for the four services you sell most, and set yours inside that band unless you can name the reason you sit above it. Then show the rates in public, because a hidden price loses the walk-in who is deciding at your door. This sample board ships with placeholder Indian rates (threading and waxing Rs 199, haircut and style Rs 299, facial and cleanup Rs 499, bridal makeup Rs 2499) that you retype with your own in ChannelOS before it goes up.

### What is a salon menu?

A salon menu is the priced list of services a salon offers, the same artefact a rate list display board carries. Treat it as one screen or one board, never a folded brochure: group services under a few headings, one line per service, one rate per line. Two things a printed menu usually omits are worth adding. Put the duration beside the price, because a customer who knows a facial takes 45 minutes books a slot instead of asking. And put the two or three services you most want to sell, usually the packages, at the top of their group rather than scattered through it. Keep every heading to a single screen so nothing needs scrolling or squinting.

### How to grow a salon in 2026?

Growth in a small parlour comes from repeat visits, not new faces, so measure one number: the share of clients who return within eight weeks. Three habits move it. Book the next appointment while the client is still in the chair, before payment, when the result is fresh. Take a phone number every single time and use it for one message, not a weekly blast. Fill the dead hours by displaying a named weekday offer at the counter rather than discounting across the board, since a general cut trains everyone to wait for it. Ask for the online review in the chair too, not by text afterwards. A screen makes changing that weekday offer a two minute edit rather than a reprint.

## How to use it

1. Open https://channelos.tv/t/mona-beautiful-parlour-04256621-afce-43be-8718-1ff7555761dc and press "Use this template". Create a free account and the template opens in your own workspace.
2. Change the words, prices and photos in the editor, from a phone or a computer.
3. On the TV, open play.channelos.tv in its own browser, pair it from your phone with the code it shows, then publish the board to it.

It runs in the television's own web browser. There is no media player box to buy and
nothing to install. The first screen is free. Free screens show a ChannelOS banner
along the bottom of the screen. Any paid plan removes it.
