## What is fitness studio digital signage?

Fitness studio digital signage is a TV screen in a gym or studio that loops a set of slides instead of a printed poster: the weekly class timetable, the training styles on offer, membership tiers, trainer notices and the current promotion. The board runs in the TV browser, so the timetable is edited once and every screen updates itself.

A functional fitness gym runs this on its floor TV: weekly class timetable, training styles and membership tiers.

## What is on this board

The slides below are the template's real content, flattened to text. Remixing copies the
whole deck into your own workspace, where every line is editable.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does a LED display screen cost?

Two different products hide behind that question. An LED module wall is an outdoor or very large format display, priced per module by pixel pitch plus a controller and a rigging job, and it is the wrong tool for a class timetable read from five metres inside a studio. A consumer TV with a modern browser is the right tool indoors, and the deciding number is not the price, it is the reading distance. Measure the furthest point a member will read the board from, divide it by three metres, and multiply by 25mm. That is the minimum capital letter height your headline needs. Size the screen so the timetable clears it, then get quotes on that basis.

### What should a fitness studio show on its digital signage?

One job per slide, and the timetable slide is the one people stop for. If classes change often, show today and tomorrow rather than the full week grid, because a member walking past reads the board for two or three seconds, not thirty. Cap the membership block at three or four tiers with the price and one line of what is included, and give the whole loop a single call to action rather than one per slide. Set the dwell time by reading the slide out loud at a normal pace and adding two seconds. Keep the loop under about a minute so someone waiting at the desk sees all of it once.

### What size screen does a gym need, and where should it go?

Work back from the reading distance rather than from the room size. Landscape 16:9 suits a wall above the reception desk or a gap between mirrors; portrait 9:16 suits a narrow column beside the door. Mount the screen so its centre sits near standing eye level, roughly 1.5 metres from the floor, and check the sightline from the rack and the treadmills so it is not blocked by a machine or answered back by a mirror. Avoid a wall facing a window: a glossy panel in direct sunlight is unreadable at exactly the hour your evening classes fill. Confirm the TV browser is current, because an older smart TV can silently fail to render a modern board.

### How do I keep the class timetable on the screen up to date?

Keep one source of truth and edit that, never a screen and a printed poster side by side. Give yourself a fixed weekly slot, Sunday evening before the week starts, to set the timetable, and treat anything mid-week as an exception: a cancelled class or a covering trainer goes up as its own slide so it is read first, then comes down. A board built as a web page updates itself when you save, so nobody walks to the TV with a USB stick. That is how this ChannelOS template works: edit the slide, and every paired screen picks up the change.

## How to use it

1. Open https://channelos.tv/t/ironhaus-functional-fitness-dfdcffde-65eb-42ef-99de-a1b2bca91104 and press "Use this template". Create a free account and the template opens in your own workspace.
2. Change the words, prices and photos in the editor, from a phone or a computer.
3. On the TV, open play.channelos.tv in its own browser, pair it from your phone with the code it shows, then publish the board to it.

It runs in the television's own web browser. There is no media player box to buy and
nothing to install. The first screen is free. Free screens show a ChannelOS banner
along the bottom of the screen. Any paid plan removes it.
