### What should a first-time rider see on the screen?

That the first ride is free, when to arrive and what to rent. This board shows clip-in shoes to rent for $3 and doors opening ten minutes before the ride. A newcomer who reads those in the lobby is set up before the lights go down.

### Where should the TV go in a cycling studio?

In the lobby or at the studio door, not in the ride room, where the lights are down and a bright screen distracts. A TV on its end fits the wall beside the door and shows the up next slide as riders arrive.

### Can I list ride themes by day?

Yes. Each ride is a line with its day, time, theme and coach, all editable text. Change a theme or a coach from your phone and publish. Keep themes to a few words so the whole week fits on one slide.

### How do I mount the TV on its end?

Hang it rotated and pick the matching quarter turn in the screen's settings in ChannelOS so the board is upright. This board is designed in portrait, so the week's rides read as one column. Confirm in the TV's manual that it supports portrait mounting.

## How to use it

1. Open https://channelos.tv/t/indoor-cycling-studio-ride-schedule-screen-portrait-090249d9-61d9-4e26-b883-bc34b0bae49c and press "Use this template". Create a free account and the template opens in your own workspace.
2. Change the words, prices and photos in the editor, from a phone or a computer.
3. On the TV, open play.channelos.tv in its own browser, pair it from your phone with the code it shows, then publish the board to it.

It runs in the television's own web browser. There is no media player box to buy and
nothing to install. The first screen is free. Free screens show a small "Made with
