## Frequently asked questions

### What should a gym TV show?

The things the front desk answers most: today's classes and times, what a first visit costs, and how to book. Keep promotions to one offer at a time, with its terms on the same slide. Save workout content for screens on the floor, where members are training rather than walking in.

### Can I change today's classes without going in?

Yes. Class names, times and coaches are ordinary text in the editor, which runs on a phone. If a coach is out, change the name or the time, publish, and the lobby TV shows it. Keeping a schedule current is the whole reason to use a screen instead of a whiteboard.

### Does the gym need a media player for its TVs?

No. Any TV with a modern web browser plays the board: open play.channelos.tv on the TV and pair it from your phone with the code it shows. Android TV, Google TV, webOS and Fire TV all work, and an older TV can use a streaming stick.

### What does a gym screen cost?

One screen is free for good, with no card. Free screens show a small "Made with ChannelOS" badge in one corner, and any paid plan removes it. Paid plans are per screen, from $5 a month billed annually or $6 monthly, and include scheduling, so morning and evening timetables can switch on their own.

## How to use it
