## What is dukan digital signage?

Dukan digital signage is a TV or monitor in a retail shop that plays offers, prices and shop hours instead of a printed poster, so the owner changes a discount from a phone in seconds rather than reprinting a banner. A free board like this Gujarati Diwali offer layout runs on any screen with a browser.

A kapda or electronics dukan owner runs this Gujarati Diwali offer board: hero sale, offer rows and shop hours.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does a digital signage display cost?

Split it into three lines and price them separately: the display, the device driving it, and the content. In a small shop the display is the biggest line by far, and a consumer TV you already own counts as one. The driver is either the TV's own browser or a cheap HDMI streaming stick in a spare port. The content is where shops overpay: a board you edit yourself costs nothing per change, while reprinting a flex banner every festival costs every time. Before buying anything, run one test on the screen you already have. Open a web browser on it. If it loads a normal website, you do not need new hardware for a browser-based board.

### What are the 7 key elements of digital signage?

In a shop the parts that actually decide whether a board works are the screen, the device driving it, the internet connection, the layout, the schedule, the mounting position and the person who updates it. The last two are the ones most often skipped. Mount so the middle of the screen sits near eye level for a standing customer, and name one person who owns the content, or the board freezes on last month's offer. Size the type against the sign trade's rule of thumb: roughly 25mm of capital letter height for every 3 metres of viewing distance. A price meant to be read from six metres therefore needs capitals about 50mm tall on screen.

### Can I run this Diwali offer board on the TV already in my shop?

Usually yes. The test is whether the screen can open a modern web browser: most smart TVs sold in the last few years can, and any TV with a free HDMI port can be given one with a streaming stick or a small Android box. This board is built 16:9, so it fills a TV mounted the normal way round, landscape. If your screen is fixed on its end in portrait, start from a portrait board instead of rotating this one, because turning a landscape layout crops the offer rows. Keep the device on the shop wifi so the board can update without anyone climbing up to the TV.

### How do I change the prices and offers during the sale?

Edit the board, not the TV. Every line here is ordinary editable text, the Gujarati included, so a price, a percentage or a whole offer row is changed in the editor and the paired screen picks up the new version. Two habits keep a festival board believable. Put a real end date on the offer and take it down the day it expires, because a Diwali sale still playing in December costs more trust than it ever earned. And put the condition, minimum spend, sizes, dates, in the same box as the discount rather than in small print at the bottom, since a shopper reads a screen for a few seconds while walking past. ChannelOS keeps this board free and remixable, so the next festival starts from the one you already tuned.

## How to use it

1. Open https://channelos.tv/t/diwali-festival-sale-gujarati-b7c8ab22-eff3-417f-a941-ce2036fdf092 and press "Use this template". Create a free account and the template opens in your own workspace.
2. Change the words, prices and photos in the editor, from a phone or a computer.
3. On the TV, open play.channelos.tv in its own browser, pair it from your phone with the code it shows, then publish the board to it.

It runs in the television's own web browser. There is no media player box to buy and
nothing to install. The first screen is free. Free screens show a ChannelOS banner
along the bottom of the screen. Any paid plan removes it.
