## What is a burger combo board?

A burger combo board is a screen carrying one meal deal and what it includes. Run as a TV loop it shows the diner's name, the three things in the combo, the price on its own and the hours, so the counter is not explaining the deal all day.

A diner counter runs this on a wall mounted TV: the venue, the priced list, one offer and the hours.

## What is on this board

The slides below are the template's real content, flattened to text. Remixing copies the
whole deck into your own workspace, where every line is editable.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why put a combo on its own screen?

Because a deal on a price list is read as another price. A combo works when it is one number with three things under it and nothing else competing, which is exactly what a slide in a loop gives you. The price list is still in the loop, one slide away, so nothing is lost by letting the deal have its own moment.

### Should the combo let people choose?

Choice is what makes it feel like value, so say which choices are open in plain words: any burger, any shake. What kills it is a list of exclusions in small type, which reads as a trap and slows every order down while somebody checks. If a burger genuinely cannot be in the deal, that is one line on the slide, not a footnote.

### What size TV does a small diner need?

Size it from the reading distance, not the wall. The trade rule is 25mm of capital height for every 3 metres, so a counter read from 5 metres wants capitals about 42mm, and on a 16:9 panel a headline at 7 percent of screen height gets there on a 50 inch. If the type has to shrink to fit the words, cut the words instead.

### Can two screens show different things?

Yes, and that is usually the right answer for a diner with a counter and a window. Each screen is paired separately and can air its own show, so the window can run the combo all evening while the counter runs the full menu. The pricing is per screen, so decide what the second screen is for before adding it.

## How to use it

1. Open https://channelos.tv/t/diner-burger-combo-meal-board-landscape-fef07dc3-baad-44c2-b8ab-b8491b612b8a and press "Use this template".
2. It is copied into your own workspace, where you edit the words, prices and colours.
3. Open the player link on the TV, pair it once with the code on screen, and the board airs.

It runs in the television's own web browser. There is no media player box to buy and
nothing to install. The first screen is free.
