# Digital signage for real estate and estate agents

Running estate agency window displays, office listing screens, development launch boards and open-house signs, played from the screen's own browser and updated from a phone.

## What runs it

ChannelOS plays as a web page in the browser the screen already has: Android TV, Google TV, webOS, Fire TV, a Chromebox, or a laptop in kiosk mode on the HDMI port. There is also a native Android TV app, downloaded as an APK from channelos.tv rather than from Google Play. There is no media player box to buy and no per-device licence.

## What goes on the screen

- **Window listing boards.** Photos, price, key facts, in portrait, rotating through the properties you want out front this week. Changed from a phone rather than reprinted.
- **Under offer and sold, same day.** Mark it on the board when it happens, so the window stops advertising something that has gone.
- **Development and launch boards.** A new scheme, scheduled to appear on launch day and run for its campaign, with the ordinary rotation resuming afterwards.
- **Office and viewing-room screens.** What a viewing involves, the fee structure, the areas you cover. Different channel, same account, same hardware.

## When ChannelOS is the wrong answer

ChannelOS does not integrate with a CRM or a property feed. There is no connection to Reapit, Alto, Street, Rightmove or Zoopla, so a listing board is built from details somebody enters rather than generated from your stock, and a property that changes status in the CRM will not change on the screen by itself. An agency with hundreds of live properties that wants the window generated from the feed should buy property-specific window display software. ChannelOS fits the agency whose window is a curated handful and whose problem is that changing it takes days.

## Questions

### What is digital signage for estate agents?

It means running the window display and office screens as editable boards rather than printed cards in lightboxes. In ChannelOS a listing board is a real show with photos, price and key facts as separate elements, played by the browser inside the screen, so marking a property under offer is an edit from a phone rather than a reprint and a trip to the window.

### Does it pull listings from Rightmove, Reapit or our CRM?

No. There is no property feed or CRM integration, so what is on the board is what somebody entered. If you need the window to reflect your live stock automatically, property window display software built around that feed is the right purchase. ChannelOS suits a curated window of the properties you want out front, changed by hand but changed quickly.

### Can I run the window in portrait?

Yes, portrait is a first-class shape rather than a rotated landscape board. A show is authored in the aspect you choose, so a 9:16 window board is designed as a column of type and photos rather than a 16:9 board turned sideways with everything in the wrong place.

### How bright does a window screen need to be?

Brighter than a living-room TV, and this is a hardware question rather than a software one. A standard TV behind glass in direct sun will wash out, so a window usually wants a high-brightness commercial panel. ChannelOS does not change that: it plays in whatever browser the panel has, and the panel still has to be readable where you are putting it.

### Can a development launch be scheduled in advance?

Yes. A show sits on a channel's timeline with a date range, so a launch board can be set weeks ahead to start on launch day and run for its campaign, after which the ordinary listing rotation resumes on its own with nobody taking anything down.

### How much does estate agency signage cost?

The first screen is free forever, with further screens billed per screen per month at the rates on the pricing page. Free screens show a ChannelOS banner that opens into a full slide roughly every two minutes, which for a shop window is normally a reason to be on a paid plan. There is no player hardware to buy.
